Fish Fry / Fried Fish / Deep Fried Fish

400 g Fish fillets
1/2 tea spoon Ground Turmeric
1/2 tea spoon Salt
1 teaspoon Oil
1 tea spoon Grounded Coriander Seeds
1 tea spoon Grounded Cumin Seeds
1 1/2 tea spoon Ginger (finely grated)
1/2 tea spoon Red Chilli Powder
1/2 tea spoon Salt
2 Bay Leaves
1 tea spoon Lemon Juice / Vinegar

2 table spoon Gram Flour
2 table spoon peanut powder (Grounded peanuts)
1/8 tea spoon salt
1/8 tea spoon Red Chili Powder
1/4 tea spoon chat masala / mango powder (Optional)
2 table spoon Water

Paste Preparation
1. Mix all the dry ingredients and water. Mix well till the paste is ready. If paste is thick add little more water

1. Cut the fillets as per desired shape, if required.
2. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and preapre the paste. If paste is thick some vinegar or lemon juice can be added
3. Place the whole fish or fish pieces in a bowl.
4. Mix well, cover and marinate. Set aside in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours.
5. Heat the oil in pan or wok over a medium flame.
6. Prepare the paste and dip marinated fish into it.
7. Put the fish in the oil over medium high heat and deep fry  until golden brown.

1. Fish can be also fried without paste
2. Add very little all purpose flour in marination or after marinating the fish to cover. Then fish can be fried without oil on the pan.
