Masala Baked Fish / Spicy Baked Fish

1 kg Fish fillet (or whole fish with slits)
1 Green Bell pepper (Julienne strips)
1 large Lemon (cut into thin round slices)

For Marinade:
3 teaspoon Dill leaves
4 tablespoon Coriander leaves (or 2.5 – 3 tablespoon Coriander Powder)
2 teaspoon Chilli flakes
3 tablespoon Ginger garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
2 tablespoon Lemon Juice
2 tablespoon Vinegar
Salt to taste
2 tablespoon Oil

For Masala:
2 medium size Onions  (finely chopped)
1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
1/2 teaspoon Coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
1/2 can Tomato (2 medium size tomatoes finely chopped)
2 tablespoon Oil
Salt to taste
4-5 Curry/Bay leaves

1.Mix all the marinade ingredients. Coat the fish with the marinade and keep it for at-least 2 hours or overnight.
2. Heat the 2 teaspoon oil in a pan and add onions. When  onion gets light brown color, add curry leaves and ginger/garlic paste; stir for few minutes.
3. Add tomato and stir for a minutes.
4. Add salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala and coriander powder and stir for 1 minutes
5. Add 1/2 cup water mix well (if needed).
6. Cook until the water is evaporated and a thick consistency is obtained.
7. Cover a baking pan with the aluminum foil and spread masala on it.
8. Place the fish fillet/s or fish on masala.  Cover the fish with the Lemon slices. In empty places put Bell Pepper.
9. Seal the foil on all sides and bake at 350 F or 175 C (in pre-heated oven) for 40 minutes.
10. Remove the foil cover from the top of and bake minutes at 450 F or 225 C for 10-15 minutes or until water is almost dried. (If your want to have liquid gravy then don’t do this step and bake the fish for 45 minutes).

1. Take one large potato, peel it and cut it into slices (neither thick, nor thin). Place the potato slices and then spread masala on it.
2. Take one or two large lemons and cut them into slices (neither thick, nor thin). Cover the fish with the lemon slices and then spread the masala on it.
