Ingredients
1/4 cup Oil + Butter (or only Butter)
1/4 cup all purpose flour
500ml Milk
300ml Cheddar Cheese
1/2 Teaspoon White Pepper
1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper (crushed)
1-1.5 Teaspoon Chili flakes
1 Tablespoon Chicken Powder
1 Teaspoon Oregano
1/2 cup green Paprika (chopped)
1/2 cup red Paprika (chopped)
1 pinch yellow color
Preparation
- Melt the butter in a saucepan. Include the oil in it also.
- When the mixture of oil and butter is warm, include all purpose flour and cook it on a medium high heat. After sometime, the flour will change its color and give aroma. When it’s very light brown, it is ready.
- Pour 1/3 milk in it and keep stirring with the help of a whisk. Add 1/3 milk more and keep stirring. Now add remaining 1/3 milk and keep stirring. (You may need to remove it from heat for stirring occasionally).
- Include yellow color, cream and spices and keep cooking.
- Include cheese and paprika and keep cooking. When the desired consistency is achieved, remove it from heat. (Note: it should be runny, not very thick).
